GoSense is a French start-up specialized in sensory augmentation technologies. GoSense has released Wizigo, which is a community based GPS application for the visually impaired, and will soon release Rango, which is a smart electronic device that enhances the white cane and allows obstacle avoidance thanks to an innovative patented ultrasonic 3D sensor and spatialized audio feedbacks. GoSense is part of the european research project INSPEX, aiming at integrating different 3D sensing technologies together to make electronic white canes even more reliable.
Aira, based in San Diego, CA, leverages the power of mobile communications — together with a confluence of technologies (e.g. smart glasses and Augmented Reality) — to provide instant access to information for blind people. Users, by tapping their Aira app, connect within seconds to a network of certified remote agents who help the user — through the user’s smart glass wearable — gain unprecedented access to real-time information and assistance in a wide range of daily activities.
